The Big Girls’ Village is a ten week journey of fun, safe and inspiring creative writing workshops for women and non binary people. Run by award winning spoken word artist Liv Torc and supported by local women’s champions Sundari Falconer and Sarah Sloan. We will be exploring the impact of lockdown on women’s lives, rights and happiness, with a view to raising our voices and changing future goverment policy.

Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Big Girl’s Village is part of the ‘Women Writing Lockdown’ project led by the University of Lincoln. The workshops are open to 12-15 women, from all ages and backgrounds, who want to make a difference to the lives of women and reconnect to the importance of sisterhood, friendship and community, while creatively transforming the legacy of the last two years. You do not have to be a writer, you just need to be open to share your story and willing to laugh, drink tea and be part of the journey.
